Whether you’re local to the Palm Springs area or just planning your vacation, there’s plenty going on in the Coachella Valley in the early spring, and we’re here to help you pick out your hotspots and dream locations. You may (and probably will) run into us along the way; and trust me, you’ll never be bored again!
Week of March 12th- 18th, 2017
Sunday, March 12th: Kick off your week right with the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Free 2nd Sundays from 11am-4pm. This month’s creative focus is The Pop-Up Project: Handbuilt Studio – A Time for Kinship. The admission and all activities are brought to you for free, so what better time to take an afternoon break, explore some of the art, and try some hands on projects?
Monday, March 13th: Ready to take in some good tennis? The BNP Paribas Open is officially…well, open! Not only is this a great spot to mingle and take in some of our gorgeous weather (before that heat hits). Find more here.
Tuesday, March 14th: If you’re looking for a bite to eat (and let’s be honest, we all are at some point or other), stop and look into Reservoir in Palm Springs. Attached to one of our favorite locales, The Arrive, Reservoir offers a delicious, upbeat, very SoCal menu in a lovely mid-century modern atmosphere. Find it here.
Wednesday, March 15th: Take a break from the grocery stores and stop into our very own local and certified Farmers Market in Palm Desert, from 8am-12:30pm. This is some incredibly fresh food, farmers coming from within 100 miles of the Coachella Valley, and is a delicious, healthy alternative to eating out for the day. Click here for more information!
Thursday, March 16th: In town with nothing to do? Try checking out The Desert X Project. This is a local scavenger hunt exclusive to the Coachella Valley. The interactive art displays have been set up in the most curious and unexpected locations, and it’s a great way to take in all the sights! Stop by the Ace Hotel to pick up a map, and click here for more information.
Friday, March 17th: Chicago is being presented at the classically beautiful McCallum Theatre. This Broadway classic is sure to be a hit, so check in early here for tickets and other upcoming shows.
Saturday, March 18th: Fashion Week El Paseo begins! One of my personal favorite events of the year, this is a red-carpet front seat to some of the most incredible local and international designers. This is the 12th anniversary of this show, and you won’t want to miss it. Click here for more information.
